For the 4th of July weekend, Jared and I went up to his family cabin with his Parents, Sister, Cousins, Grandparents, Aunt, and Uncle. We did a lot of four-wheeling and we were able to see some beautiful places. On the 4th, Jared and I went to the top of a mountain in Evanston and saw the whole valley, full of fireworks that are illegal in Utah!
I was very excited to catch three fish when we went to Whitney Resevoir! We started a little late due to a waffle breakfast for 10 but, a few of us still got lucky!
Jared had a great time working on his lifelong project.. The Dam. He works and works everytime he goes up to the cabin to save two beautiful ponds. He's so good at it that we nick-named him "Beaver"! Jessica, Elsee, and I even joined in and hopped in the mud to work on the dam!
It was great to get away to a peaceful place, to spend time with family, and hear Grandpa Tobler's Italy stories from 1941. :) My favorite part about the cabin is the sky at night. It is like a heavy blanket of stars is covering the sky. It's so beautiful!
