January adventure

I have completed my January adventure (see: 2010 resolutions)

"garbage-bagging": sliding down on your belly (while giggling & screaming) on a very steep & icy hill, wearing garbage bags.

Happy Birthday.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."
"Life's most urgent question is: what are you doing for others?"
"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."
"We must use time creatively."

So this is why..

Yesterday wasn't a terrible day but, it was just one of "those" days. I'm sure you know how "those" days can be.

I sat at my desk in a (not-very-good-kind-of-mood) and decided to look back into the archives of this blog. I came across sunny days, silly pictures, funny stories, and romantic moments.

And then I felt better.
(So this is why I blog)

p.s. I'm craving my favorite place mighty good today. Take a look.

2009.

The first day of 2009 we went sledding with our lovely friends. (It was quite the way to welcome the new year!) In the remaining Januray days.. I had the best bachelorette party ever, 3 wonderful bridal showers, had our engagments and bridals shot by Harmony, and I went to the temple for the first time on my birthday.

To say the least, February was an exciting month for Jared and I. We got married on the 7th, went to our winter wonderland honeymoon in Park City, I moved in with Jared, and I was loving my newlywed status.
In Spring, I was busily trying to get our thank you cards in the mail, we took a trip out to Vegas with friends, & best of all.. we found our home! Cousin Austin got his mission call, we celebrated Easter, and had Kristie for a short visit. In May.. we took a trip to Southern Utah, Whitney announced her decision to serve a mission, Austin had his mission farewell, and Whitney and I got lost on a hike with Curtis & his friends but when we made it to the waterfall.. it was all worth it!
Summertime was bliss. Austin left on his mission (I miss you!), We took a perfect (literally) trip to Oregon, went to the Tobler family reunion, Richard came home, celebrated Rob & McKenzie's wedding day, celebrated the 4th of July with England ShayLee, Whitney got her mission call, we went camping in the Uintahs, had Kristie's bridal shower and wished on balloons. We took a day trip to Park City, celebrated Kristie & Devin's wedding day, and we went white water rafting in Riggins, Idaho. I went to my cousin Natalie's baby shower and we said farewell to Sister Penny Tomlinson.
(the 4th of July in Curtis' backyard)
In the Fall & Winter.. We went to Denver, I ran through the sprinklers, Jared and I finally made it to the Zoo, said farewell to Sister Whitney, went camping in Heber with the Buhler's, talked Jared into Frightmares at Lagoon (he loved it), carved pumpkins with the Belmonties, we painted our kitchen yellow, celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year! :)

2009 brought so many changes for us. It has been a year of adventure and although not always easy, 2009 has been very good to us. We have started our journey together. We bought our first home, made wonderful friends, took some wonderful trips, and we've grown so much from the lessons of this year. When I look back on 2009, I feel a simple and lovely feeling: happy. Thank you to all of our family and friends who made our 2009 sweet bliss. I can't wait for what 2010 brings! Happy New Year, my dears..

p.s. you're very welcome for not enlarging the photos of the post.
