Up

Last night, after hours of campfire and smores (bliss),
JT & me, Whitney, and Curtis decided last minute to go to a midnight showing.

(I love midnight showings, don't you?)
The midnight showing of Up.

It was a true love story. Full of tender moments and action
(of course).
Lifetime dreams fullfilled by an adorable balloon salesman.

Plus, it's in 3D.

I loved it.

Memorial Weekend.

Last weekend, I went to Zion's National Park for the 2nd time in my lifetime.
Both times, I have been amazed.

When Jared and I were on the bus to go back down the park, we had to stand because the bus was full. I stood by a very sleepy boy. He began to nod off and all of a sudden, BAM! Something hit my rear end! It was that sweet little boys head. And so the rest of the bus ride goes.. nod, bam, wake up, nod, bam, wake up.. and Jared and I laughed through the whole thing..
On our last day there, we stopped by all the little shop's that are on the same street as Grandma Tobler's Bakery. We even hit a couple antique stores and bought two LIFE magazines.
One from 1937 and one from 1951.
Coooooooooooool.

The best part of our trip: spending 4 days together (and..Zions)

The worst part: Cockroaches!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day, Mom.
(left, aunt. right, mother.)
One of my favorite memories with my mother was probably about 13 years ago. She and I took a girls trip to visit my grandmother in Wyoming. On the way home into Salt Lake we oooh-ed and awww-ed over the city lights.. while eating mini muffins.
I've always hung on to that memory as one of the best. But, I have so many more with my mother and friend. Thank you, Mom, for always being there for me.

p.s.

Did I mention that Jared and I are finally... Home??
:)

It's calling to me..

Today, even though it is 52 days away, I craved Oregon.
(I think I am blaming my Mom because, she emailed me about plane tickets.)

And.. I mostly thought about all of the potential "photo-opps"
(I also, of course, thought about that delicious chicken taco salad from The Logger.)

Maybe I shall make a chain countdown..?

"After the Storm"

Glacier National Park Montana,USA.

Photographer Florian Schulz won the award of Nature's Best Conservation Photographer of the Year.

I can see why.

Check out more of Florian Schulz's beautiful work here.

By the way.. Have you seen Earth? Loved it. We already have plans to let (make) our kids watch it everyday.

God is so good at what he does..
